Here is my annual Christmas work -Part 2 of the continuing story EOTR - Christmas 2011

Well my site disappeared thanks to Chambergates. I found that it was just gone. It had been awhile since I had updated it as I had not finished any painting or drawings. Recently I completed two portraits and went to upload them to the site but found that it was not there. I was intending to do a complete site backup and move it to another hosting provider. I had not had a problem with Chambergates.com. I just wanted to get all my sites under one hosting provider. I am guessing that they have gone out of business. (they did not bother to let anyone know). I found some info on a forum about getting domains transfered. I contacted the person in the forum and he sent me the steps to get the domain transferred since Chambergates was just reselling. I started the process when in the course of googling chambergates I found a whois search and just for the hell of it I checked randomsketches.com to make sure it was still controlled by same company when it returned that randomsketches.com was available to purchase. I quickly jumped on my providers site and purchased my own domain which was paid for until September of 2011. I was able to find an old copy of the site and here it is. I think it is time for a complete redo of randomsketches. I still have all the original graphic files so I can hopefully recreate what was lost. Of course I have nothing else going on right now.
** Note **
Chambergates contacted me and apologized for the problems. He gave me a copy of my website so I have been able to update the content to where it should have been and will now be able to further update it.

Wow! Two posts in one year. I am really getting my money's worth.

So a year ago I sent out Christmas cards. On the back I stated it was the last year I would be sending cards. I decided to stop sending them because of two reasons. One its green. No paper, no need to burn energy delivering a physical item. The second reason, it gave me more time to procrastinate. So instead of now printing and folding and stuffing the envelopes all I had to do was update my website. I don't know if saved me any time at all, but I do not have to rush to the post office.
Here is my card Christmas 2009

Putter (cat) Less than a month ago I had to have my cat Putter euthanized. She had a growth in her lungs, which the Vet suspected as cancer. Putter had been having trouble breathing so I had taken her in the month before. At that time the vet thought it could be an infection or fungal. I gave Putter the antibiotics and steroids. She got worse. The second X-ray confirmed the growth was getting larger. She pretty much stopped eating, she could not keep the food down. I miss her.

This must be some kind of record. Less than a week ago was Labor Day and I already have the photos from the bean run posted. (Click the Bean Run icon to the right.)
*Note All the bean run stuff has been moved to BeanRunners.com

Well, its been awhile....
I finally got around to updating the site. I wrote a program to generate an HTML table for displaying thumb nails. I've done some work around the house installing a microwave above my stove. Not a bad job by computer programmer. Let see several weeks ago, I got to enjoy the heavy rains and the subsequent lake in my basement. Mostly I've been working. I have been messing with Linux and find that it has come quite a ways. I recently loaded Ubuntu on my laptop. You can get copies from http://www.ubuntu.com. They have install and live CDs which allow you to try it without installling it.
